I have a quad-monitor setup. I originally had two nVidia 9800GT cards (dual DVI each) but in order to get more than one GPU to act like one desktop, you had to use Xinerama, which slowed down Cairo a *lot* (although 3D was still pretty fast). I ended up replacing those two cards with one Matrox
