I had enabled dlr-storage under kannel to store delivery report in mysql
database and now dlr table is having more then 8 (.8 million) lacs records.
Can any one let me know how should i delete old dlr from database for which
i have not received the delivery report since last 10 d

same is getting deleted automatically from dlr table however as we all know
that we generally don't receive 100% delivery report.

Message sent via sqlbox will not hit your dlr-url once received delivery
reprot from smsc. (I have seen this statement in this forum long time back.)
If you want to get delivery status on your url then you have to use smsbox
url.

I think automatically by kannel itself is not possible however you can
write a small program which will parse access logs and will reinsert the
same in MySQL table.

Everything is working fine as i have tested 5-10 messages and DLRs are
getting stored under Redis and getting removed too in case we received dlr.

As suggested by other user as well, try enabling debug logs and see what is

I hope you are not sending Unicode messages.
If yes check while playsms invoked smabox api, it is not setting dcs=2.
It seems while playsms invoking kannel smsbox api, it is using Unicode
feature of smsbox.

Kannel does not support this feature.
You have two options:
1. Modify playsms to select appropriate SMSC before submitting sms to
kannel via SMSBOX.
2. You can make different users at kannel (SMSBOX) and use those users

password = kannel
default-smsc = SMPPSim

MySQL is the culprit in most cases.
