Hi,
I'm a complete newbie to Kannel and really appreciate help with some
issues. Sorry if these are really basic.
I'm trying to use Kannel to receive incoming SMS' through a GSM modem and
forward them to an application on another server. It will not be sending
any SMS.
- How do I configure
Has anyone tried the Tango 864 modem with Kannel and can confirm it works
fine? I know the earlier version Tango55 works okay but wasn't sure about the
864.
Kind regards,
Shiv
new messages are
rejected. Can someone please help me with this - does kannel automatically
delete read messages or is there a configuration for that?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Many thanks Alvaro. I did this and it works now. The bearerbox log shows it
is
deleting the messages.
One more question - is it recommended to use the SIM memory or the modem memory
(I think the modem has a much larger memory).
Kind regards,
Shiv

I am using a modem with Kannel for SMS services and have set SIM-buffering to
true. However every time an SMS is received Kannel services it twice, once
when
SMS received and a second time when reading it from the SIM memory.
Has anyone experienced this problem and could advise?
Thanks in adv

Depending on what data you need you could also enable logging in Kannel and get
the data from the logs.
