Hi all,
I was searching information about how to deliver SMSs through Kannel, in a
specific port on devices. More precisely, the SMPP destination port parameter.
On devices, I'm going to have a java application using WMA, that listen to that
specific port to wake up and process the SMS accordin

Hi all,
I'm using Kannel since some months ago and currently able to send and receive
SMS using either Nokia/Siemens cellphones, GSM modems and african SMSCs. The
point I want to discuss about is regarding GSM modems, about the SIM number
format of the mobile originated SMS. Using a GSM chip of

Another point, did you see the warning:

In your conf file, try change this property:

to:

This is not the root problem, just a suggestion. Updatin
Hi,
Take a look on the user guide, sendsms-user group. I'm using the forced-smsc
property from this group, together with preferred-smsc-id property on smsc
group to have the functionally you mentioned working.
If this is the best approach for this purpose, I'm not the most appropriated

Hi all,
I have a SMSC documentation saying that for short SMS,
the esm_class needs to be "0" and for long SMS, over than 159 chars,
I have to use the value "64".
Currently my Kannel instance sends for long SMS:
esm_class: 67 = 0x0043
and for short SMS:
esm_class: 3 = 0x0003
So, long SM
Ok, I'll try it in the next hour and revert.
Thanks a lot.

Hi Alejandro,
It works, exactly as you mentioned. esm_class = 0 for short SMS and esm_class =

Thanks a lot the help!

Hi,
Someone else observed similar behavior of validity period parameter?
I've done more tests on it and it really seems that all SMS keep in sms_rounter
thread more than 10 minutes (sometimes 20, sometimes more than 30 minutes, and
so on).
Thanks
Anderson

Hello,
Once again I'm coming back to you with a question. I have Kannel working
smoothly with some SMSC and also with local modems.
Now, there's a new SMSC with a different situation. It's all about to solve a
problem with the "underscore" ( _ ) character. Seems that when such character
