long sms via SMPP message_payload

Hello, Is there any way to send more than 160 char SMS without fragmenting it on kannel end. It appears SMPP message_payload is not supported in kannel gw although there are SMSCs that require non-fragmented submit_sm via ESME. Any ETA on this feature? Thanks.

this is not bug or problem configuration ... could anybody tell me a smsc firm as alternative to my local router (virtual smsc) in kannel? If it depends of the country, my preference is spain. thanks for the information daniel

modem connection

Missing Messages

Hi, I am having an issue with messages not being sent. I can see them in my smsbox but they don't show up in bearerbox. What should I check? How do I prevent this from happening again? version of Kannel is `1.5.0'. Build `Aug 15 2013 12:20:44', -- Regards, Eric Magutu

Hi I had a similar issue with my enfora modems. I fixed it with a modem firmware update. You might want to contact modem manufacturer and report the issue. Somehow modem lost message memory locations thus unable to find messages. this finally hung the modem and a reset is needed to have it back o

Hi That is a totally different issue. That might happen if you disconnect your modem from the PC and reinsert it. Maybe this also happens if you turn it off/on. This shouldn´t happen "by itself" since /dev/tty is defined by kernel on device detection. There is a workaround predefining the /dev/xx
