Hello,
The Kannel 's DLR storage does not store the message body. If you need it in
your application, you have to add message body into dlr-url when you
submitting SMS.
in example:
$text = "this is a test";
$dlrurl=
urlencode("http://host/dlr.php?status=%d&body=$text&message_id=$my_internal
Hi,
No replies? Any suggestions on where to start looking them?
I've read the v1.4.2 & 1.4.3 release notes & see that there has been some bug
fixes in the DLR area since v1.4.1
Before I try compiling the latest version on a RHEL4 box, is anyone using %a or
%b which is working as expected?

Playsms is a skeleton php application for sms sending. Use with appropriate gw

to install kenel on linux.

Hi All,
I am new bee for Kenel , i am doing a project and i want to use kenel as sms
center as i will integrate 5-6 sms gateways and when any user will send the sms
, kenel should check for the cheapest gateway and send by that.
But till now i could only install the kenel nothing else, and i am
Hi,
I see. I thought maybe that was the case with %a & %b only being used with
a SMSC and not the web interface. How easy would this be to add (I do a
little programming but haven't looked at the code yet)? Adding the DLR-URL
into the post is going to be too difficult in the environment for
Hi Dheerendra,
First of all, it's "Kannel". Not kenel.
Second, Kannel is not an SMS center. Kannel is an ESME.
Third, you need some knowledge on HTTP, webserver (maybe Apache) and PHP.
If you read the userguide you will know how to invoque php
functions from Kannel.
Best rega

Hi,
I will have to add also, that if finding the cheapest gateway to route your
SMS is your main objective, kannel is not the right choice. Kannel is the
gateway (ESME) that needs to be configured with all available routes, and
can do preferential routing according to rules. The rules for that
Hi,
Actually %a & %b can be used as variables in the logfiles & sms-service URL
that stand in for the SMS message in ASCII and binary form.
The extended kannel headers suggested are a good choice. Otherwise it would
take some doing to implement it in the sendsms-user.

Hi,
Your posted logs from smsbox indicate a problem with your bearerbox. Could you
please post the relevant bearerbox logs at maximum verbosity (0) from ~10:20:28?

I don't know if this is a bug or it's intended to work that way so I'm
posting the question on users list.
Here is my configuration:
group = smsc
smsc = at
smsc-id = GSM
modemtype = auto
device = /dev/ttyACM1
speed = 115200
log-file = "/var/log/kannel/smsc-gsm.log"
log-level = 0

Hi guys!! a wanna ask you something. Anyone have a conexion smpp 3.5 with
kannel, how can I configure one?

Mario
I have been wondering this myself, I am starting with a very basic system,
and well the internet connection is quite fast, but the issue is that do you
have numbers on how much ram does kannel use ? the bearerbox and the SMS
box, and real numbers about how much traffic can it handle, does it work
