Compiled kannel from svn (version 5324) on Debian.
Copied kannel init script to /etc/init.d/
~$ sudo cp /usr/src/gateway-svn-5324/debian/kannel.init /etc/init.d/kannel
To start kannel
~$ systemctl start kannel
works as expected, but
~$ systemctl stop kannel
does not.
