Hi All,
When i was tested the Special character sms in kannel 1.5 version,it is
working fine,but the sam messages has failed in kannel 1.4.3 version.
So please suggest how can i resolve the special character set issue in
kannel 1.4.3?

Hi
kannel works internally with UTF-8, however it supports the full
charset set & subset for UTF, GSM, Latin1, ASCI, UCS, etc.
Depending whether you use a charset/subset in 7 or 8 bytes, the
message lenght will vary from 70 to 160 chars due to protocol
restriction.
