Check kannel admin interface for SMSC status.
It seems SMSC is down.

The smsbox logs at debug level are not showing any errors. I am not using
sqlbox at the moment.
I will monitor smsbox incase it re-occurs.

It might be your sqlbox / smsbox instance failing.. Check logs.

hi All,
I did not change the below kannel configs, i rebooted the kannel server and
now the the issue is fixed.
looks strange seems to be stability issues with Kannel 1.4.3. which Kannel
can I use to avoid this from
re-occuring?

Hi
Kannel does not know where to send the sms. Either specify a
default-route and or add ...&smsc=xxx&... where xxx=the smsc-id of the
route you want to use.
Check userguide for details.
