I am working on upgrading the Kafka cluster from the version 2.0.1 to
3.5.2. The main concern in that update is passing version 2.1 which has the
following note in the upgrade document:

I found this blocker regression:

Summary: Connector configurations that specified converters with aliases
(e.g. JsonConverter instead of org.apache.kafka.connect.json.JsonConverter)
previously worked, and in this RC they throw validation
