It should give you both image and text options.
Please let me know if you discover a better text counter.

I am only replying because nobody else appears to have done so. I
understand very little of your technicalities but I do know that on
occasions it is necessary to check/adjust file permissions on OS X

From the way that you dismiss some writing to this list I am not
surprised that few have the courage to make such points.

I have not read all of your post but I am aware that Apache's support

Are you running OS X 10.4.10 or OS X server 10.4.10 ?
I am on holiday and don't have easy access to my Xserve but I wonder
if you have checked that file permissions are satisfactory.

This is still unresolved so I hope this additional information will enable
somebody to tell me how to fix it. I have used a QPQ server for over 10
years and am now moving all sites to Apache (1.3) on an Xserve. Everything
appears to work OK except for PAGE_COUNT. All pages are parsed and most

I am a new Xserve (Apache 1.3) user and I have been unable to get
PAGE_COUNT working despite the fact that SSI and other environmental
variables are functioning for me. Does anybody know what additional
settings are required for PAGE_COUNT? Do I need to initiate a count file or
file location?
