The protocol should be tcp. https://portforward.com/technicolor/ might
give you step by step instruction for you specific router. They recommend
static IP which probably isn't necessary for you, and they specify a
different port than you will likely use.

I'm sure he means 443 not 433 (80 and 443 being the standard ports for http
and https).

Im in the Technicolor, and it seems that this one gets a WAN IP (i.e. I would
assume the "public IP address" globally reachable)
but that one seems to be to the router/modem itself, which then in turn routes
to the machines "behind" it (based on outgoing traffic I guess)

Zyxtel modem, however that was burn by lightning so
have now shifted to the telia supplied Te
