[users@httpd] img files not displaying

I have gif, jpg and png files in my htmldirectory which work fine with the html . Today I put some new gifand jpg files and I get the 403 Forbidden You don't have permission to access /Potter.gif on this server.   I have checked permissions and ownership on the files and see nodifference betw
