Thanks Allen. Yes, I am using the source file from OpenSSL and not an RPM. I suspect that the issue here is that I, or more correctly the make file, is trying to mix 32 bit and 64 bit libraries. I'll try being explicit about the library paths as suggested. Haven't had any time to get back to

Alternatively create a symbolic link and use it as shebang in your perl cgi scripts. You can switch the symlink then to what ever location you want. Example: # ln -s /usr/sbin/perl /usr/sbin/my_perl In the cgi scripts the shebang: #!/usr/sbin/my_perl Test it. Then switch to the other perl versi
