Have you got something loike this in your configurations:

index.html index.htm \

Thanks.
This option sounds a lot simpler than first thought. I will keep this in
mind. Also, I'm also running a DNS server in house as well, but, if no
power at home then there will be no DNS will be resolved.

The cheapest way is to point the hostname to your home IP, and set a
very short TTL, say 5 min

Hello,
We're having a puzzling issue with setting up a reverse proxy.
Running Debian Lenny, apache2-mpm-prefork, 2.2.9-10+lenny9,
libapache2-mod-perl2 2.0.4-5+lenny1
Have this in our configs:

Hi,
At the moment, I have Apache installed on Linux. I do not have a domain name. I
am using the IP address to access the website. I want users to be brought

Being "somewhere" (including the could) still leaves you with a probability of
an outage. The VPS can crash, can be DDoSed, can be hacked... The

Hi Steve,
Yes I'm absolutely sure. nslookup returns the same IP address for all 3
hostnames.
As to the file system or site authentication, all sites have the same
documentroot, and only 1 doesn't work. I guess that a file system permission
is out of the question here?
2011/6/10 Steve Brereton
that's always going to be file system or site authentication.
Are you sure the DNS for the three sites is pointing at the same place?
