Hello! D,
Actually the Apache I am using is part of Foxserv. Foxserv is a free server
software which has built in php, mysql, apache, python etc modules?
Do you think it has something to do with Foxserv instead.
Honestly, except this PDF weirdness I have no probs with Foxserv.

Thanks for the reply, but that's not it I'm afraid. That timeout
value doesn't make any difference in this case. The time it takes
before it halts varies from a minute or so to 15
This may sound like a silly question, but is the administration pages
actually running on apache or are they served by the built in cf
webserver on another port?

Hi all,
I have an odd one here that I can't track down. I'm hoping it rings a
bell with someone on the list.
I have a client who is serving large (100+MB) files over Apache 1.3.33.
When the visitor is on a fast connection (cable/DSL or better) it downloads
just fine. But if the visitor is on a

Fails in what way? Can you resolve the DNS name properly on the machine
that does the connection? Do you see anything in the logging?

Hellos,
I'm having some serious performance problem with apache-1.3.33 on

Does anyone know of any resources that could help me in addressing

Hi everyone,
I'm using the Apache HTTPD 2.0.54 webserver + PHP 4.3.11 on a Linux box.
I'm having constant high loads in my httpd process, and I would like to
find out what's causing this high load. eg, if it's a page, wich one is
causing this high load.
Thanks in advance,

Hi,
Thanks for the answer. I looked through and there is no AllowOverride
directive that would override the all for that directory.
Any other ideas anybody?

Hello,
Look back at your config. It says 5 threads minimum, so at elast 6
processes are spawned when apache is started : the main process and 5
childs. Your config says 50 max, so at maximum there would be 50
threads... Normally, there's another config option that states how many
threads are
That's Linux' way of handling threads. Each Linux thread has it's own PID.
