For at least a couple of years, when my customers use my application on a Mac
and write a file (desktop app) only on a Mac they will get a File IO Error
2038. If they delete the file or give it a different name, it seems to work.
Any ideas what might be causing this? Again, Mac only.

I must not be approaching this common task correctly. I have a native menu on
an AIR application and want to determine which subitems should be enabled
before displaying. I have yet to fall upon a way to capture an event when,
let's say, the File menu is clicked but before the menuitems under it ar
A very odd thing happening. I use file.browseForSave throughout my
application but a new use all of a sudden doesn't work but only in runtime.
It's fine when testing in FlashBuilder. There's nothing particularly
different than other uses I have.

In the Adobe forums I did find the command to take the AIR framework out of

I made the mistake of installing Catalina on my Mac which apparently doesn't
support Flashbuilder 4.7. So I'm in the process of downgrading to Mojave but
I can't find the installer anywhere. It used to be in my Creative Cloud but
it seems that Adobe has removed that and made AIR 32 the only SDK

difficult to get it up and running since so many files (eg. adl) are missing

I found VS Code quite easy to get up and running with that extension. It
recognized the project and imported great. And it runs/debugs fine. Now to
