Hi, To insure locking system works smoothly with NFS, I recommend: - to use NFS v4 - to use sync mount option - depending of the network you may need to tune rsize/wsize (default is 8192, if the network is stable you can increase, if you have packet dropped, you can decrease this value) Regards J

Hi Karl- For sure you do NOT want to use SMB/CIFS. The locking mechanism is not robust enough. Generally speaking, computer programs become unpredictable when disk volumes “just disappear”. I would recommend taking outages when the disk volume maintenance is being performed. -Matt Pavlovich
