Hi,
I nievely took an image of the root partition from one of my FC2 servers
and tried to boot it under UML. I can't seem to get it past mounting the
root partition in read-only mode. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Host: FC2 2.6.5-1.358, I've compiled a 2.6.9 kernel plus
uml-2.6.9-bb4.patc
also interested, we might take the opportunity to discuss.
Please feel free to contact me off-line,

It would seem that setting up a uml network with one of the nodes

I was wondering if anyone on the list has seen any examples of using
snort in a uml network?

I have followed the yum instructions found on a Xen discussion in Redhat

The difference being that I didn't run the MAKEDEV script but just
copied my hosts' /dev directory over.

You might try running Xnest. There is a good example of this setup in
the Adios distribution. http://dc.qut.edu.au/adios/

FC3 works fine as guest ?
Yes. Creating a bootible filesystem with yum is somewhat vexing and time
consuming, but certainly possible. This is an example:

There might be other prebuilt FC3 root_fs images out there.
