What happens if you do:
sudo -s

(you should see "hello" on the console)

system, in great part because the appliance system needs a 64-bit kernel now,
but my build environment is 32-bit, and not-multiarch capable. Build-root

I use hostfs for /, and I just mount /usr/share from the host.

It's part of the rootfs, and you have a complete operating system there.
You use yum or apt or yast2 to install whatever you need.

1) I don't thikn that skas3 every got ported to 2.6.32.
2) Why do you want it? skas0 usually does better.

would seem to be the right incantation.
I usually do:
ip -6 add addr 2001:220:abcd:70::10/64 dev eth1
