of what console 0 is really on my part!
Typing it out to the mailing list actually helped finding the problem

I've given a try to the following combination of host/guest kernels
yesterday:
Host = 2.6.12.4 on debian sarge
Guest = 2.6.12.4 from kernel.org + 2.6.12-bb12-skas0 patch
Cmd line = ./linux con=null con0=fd:0,fd:1
FS = Debian-3.0r2.ext2

Search the mailing lists for cpucap. I had reposted a patch that someone
else had done that would apply to 2.6.8 I believe that actually limits the
% of CPU that a process can use and not just the time it can be running.
Buggy, no guarentees, not supported and I can't even really remember how
