magnoliaAuthor is installed, when I input superuser as login and password I was
redirected to a page in which says it is for the smart phone, then I installed
magnoliaPublic, out of 670 tasks, more than 340 tasks were done but suddenly a
message came out regarding that stream is closed. I restar
It is being loaded now, slowly with lots of modules, I still have not clicked
installation button.

I did as you advised, after few minutes .magnolia/installer automatically was
joined to the path (localhost:8080/magnoliaAuthor) yet the page is not loaded
at all, just keeps loading with a blank page

There is no .magnolia folder in the webapp. The path mentioned above by Antti
is enabled via servlet mapping.
Try to access this link with the browser: http://localhost:8080/magnoliaAuthor/
If you do it for the first time, Magnolia will finish the installation, finally
leading you to a logi

I checked the path, I do have both magnoliaAuthor and magnoliaPublic under
webapps, I opened both, I did not see any
.magnolia folder, could it be a hidden folder?

Sounds like your Tomcat is running but the Magnolia webapp cannot be found at
the link you are clicking. The start page that contains the "Run the web
update" links is just a static HTML file in
/webapps/ROOT/index.html. The links point to webapp directories
named magnoliaAuthor and m
