ok, I see what you mean now. This is the way that it was supposed to work since the beginning, so the date is always submitted in a "standard" format, disregarding the display format, or the locales of the client and server. If you field is of type Date, xwork will know how to parse the value. mus

It did not throw exception or anything like that. I specifically set the display format to "MM/dd/". Visually it displays correctly on UI as "01/02/2009" The problem is: When the form is submitted, I got data back as "2009-01-02T00:00:00-08:00" instead of "01/02/2009".
