It just means the port on which you are trying to connect there is no
hadoop service running on that port please recheck what port you are using
for hadoop and check where you have specified the port no 54310 and check
for port using netstat -nl | grep 54310 if giving any result else just
check on

Show tables and select * from Table_Name just dump data.
here you don't have reducers.
but for count(*) operation reducers got assign the job to do.
Check out you network settings ans pass the IP address to by pass proxy.

This error gives when these service are not started.

Hi Sagar,
MapReduce is not working.
Please check the corresponding xml file and try jps command to see whether it
started or not. You can also check the log for task and job tracker.
