HIVE ODBC test fails at testing with isql

Hi All, i set hive odbc wrapper using directions given in http://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/Hive/HiveODBC . When i test it with isql it says [ISQL]ERROR: Could not SQLConnect i have hive server started on localhost:1 and specified this information in odbc.ini. odbcinst -j output unixODBC 2.3.0

Hi LiuLei, Hive 0.4 and 0.5 depend on a snapshot build of Thrift that predates Thrift 0.2.0. Hive 0.3 and earlier depend on an even older version of Thrift. Hive trunk was updated to use Thrift 0.5.0 in HIVE-1526, and with some work it's possible to backport that patch to Hive 0.6.0. Carl On Tue
