Have you calculated in the follow below
* vCPU
* Memory
* MTU: (for bandwidth)
Example of our specs on VDI which handles little over 10,000 connection.
* OS: Debian 12 (FIPS 140-2)
* 64Gig Ram
* MTU 9000 (10GBase-T)
* vCPU 2 Socket 12Cores 24 Threads (36 cpus)
* MySQL (MariaDB) with DU

Afaik this can also be a client side issue, for example if your clients can‘t
use websockets!
Did you recently change firewall rules or network topology?
