Your screenshot shows the checkpoint expired. It means checkpoint did not
finish in time.
I guess the reason is the heavy back pressure blocks both data and barrier.
But I can't tell why there was a heavy back pressure.

processing, no sink but checkpointing is failing.
Is it like once checkpoint fails it keeps failing forever until job restart.

Hi,
It seems that sometimes your job can not finish checkpoint during 1 minute
(timeout in your configuration).
The checkpoint of 9867 is expired. The 9868 costs 50 seconds, almost
reaches the timeout limit. However the 9869 and 9870 finished quite soon.
