Hi all,
ever since I updated my development cluster I'm unable to use
describe_splits to get information about the cluster to do a bulk load into
hadoop. All I get is the following error:

As suggested, we did do removetoken, set autobootstrap true, initial token and
start. Now the new nodes are in the Boostrapping state for a while, but nothing
seem to be happening at all.
Any idea?
Thanks.

...or perhaps vice versa: how would I tweak a model to suit Cassandra?
I have in mind data that could be _almost_ shoehorned into the (S)CF
structure, and I'd love to hammer this nail with something hadoopy, but I
have a niggling suspicion I'm setting myself up for frustration.

Hello,
We're planning an upgrade from 0.6.7 (after it's released) to 0.7.0 (after
it's released) and I wanted to validate my assumptions about what can be
expected. Obviously I'll need to test my own assumptions but I was hoping
for some guidance to make sure my understanding is correct.

You'll need to convert from storage-conf.xml to cassandra.yaml and
import your schema at some point. NEWS.txt outlines the general
approach (see Upgrading).

Hi all,
We've been using Cassandra for some months now and have a cluster in
production.
To help us learn more about Cassandra and meet other people who are using it
I have just launched the* London meetup* (partly prompted by the guys who
launched the Israel and Bay Area groups recently).

We tried it again with one node from the new data center, and this time, it got
stuck in streaming. We had this problem while on 0.6.1, now we are on 0.6.6.
It appears that some streaming finished, but somehow the source nodes are
waiting for something.
Anyone has a clue?
Thanks.

You can use the 0.6 branch instead, it's generally more stable than trunk.
