I've been working for a while now on putting together a PHP client that
works with Cassandra 0.7. It's at a decent state now, so I would like to
start getting feedback from PHP users out there.

I certainly don't think it would be a problem, but your use case ("social
network") is very vague. If you described particular operations that you're
concerned about, we might be able to either better assuage your fears, or offer
coherent suggestions for alternative strategies.
