Any kind of server whose availability can be tested by connecting to a
single socket 8-)
In case of a HTTP server, the condition may be better suited.

the manual for the CVS task on
http://ant.apache.org/manual/ says that:
"Important: This task needs "cvs" on the path. If it
isn't, you will get an error (such as error 2 on
windows)."
I do get this error 2, but I don´t know how to
interpret the recommendation. Any thoughts?
