Hi All,
We've done quite a bit of Accumulo on AWS.
The first problem you see is that the users can't be created if HDFS is
not up on time. We've seen this more often when creating the trace user
rather than root.
If you can post output from the script, that would be helpful.

Hi Christopher,
We happen to be running on Ubuntu.
Any insights into why CentOS or RHEL is preferred that you can share?
Thanks

Everything else not withstanding, if you see any swap space being used, you
need to adjust things to prevent swapping first.
My 2 cents.

Hi All,
3 times in the past few weeks (twice on 1 system, once on another), the
master gets UnknownHostException (s), one by one, for each of the tablet
servers. Then, it wants to stop them. Eventually, all the tablet servers
quit.
It goes like this for all the tablet servers:

Hi Everyone,
Turns out that it was a DNS server issue exactly. Had to get this

Thanks!

Hi Jonathan,
We too have exactly this issue as of a couple of days ago.
This is in 1.7.2, zookeeper 3.4.5 and from a cluster that has been shut
down for a long time.
Accumulo writes the root_tablet/lastlocation node with the name of the
tserver, concatenated with the ephemeral owner form zookeep
