Hi All, We've done quite a bit of Accumulo on AWS. The first problem you see is that the users can't be created if HDFS is not up on time. We've seen this more often when creating the trace user rather than root. If you can post output from the script, that would be helpful. =josef On 15-

Hi Christopher, We happen to be running on Ubuntu. Any insights into why CentOS or RHEL is preferred that you can share? Thanks On 15-07-06 07:34 AM, Christopher wrote: I personally consider running on CentOS to be essential, and would recommend the latest CentOS (or RHEL). -- Christopher L

Everything else not withstanding, if you see any swap space being used, you need to adjust things to prevent swapping first. My 2 cents. On Thu, Nov 5, 2015 at 2:12 PM, Eric Newton wrote: > Comments inline: > > On Thu, Nov 5, 2015 at 2:18 AM, mohit.kaushik > wrote: > >> >> I have 3 node cluste

Hi Jonathan, We too have exactly this issue as of a couple of days ago. This is in 1.7.2, zookeeper 3.4.5 and from a cluster that has been shut down for a long time. Accumulo writes the root_tablet/lastlocation node with the name of the tserver, concatenated with the ephemeral owner form zookeep
