You can try this:

Yes! "the unicodetext of the selection" is the answer. Forget the
selectedText.
"the unicodetext of the selectedChunk" works as well.
Thank you, Mark!

Rene,
Looks very nice, but for me it locks up. When I click on slider it works
great, but it won't allow me to release. It's as though it's not getting
the "mouseup" command. At that point, I can't click on anything else, and
have to use CNTL-ALT-DELETE to force the program to shut down.
It is made with LiveCode 4.6.0 using graphics and "Graphic effects"
properties...
Someone else met the same problem?

ChartMaker for LiveCode
Version 2.1 build 49
A maintenance update is now available. It is free for all 2.1 registered
users and a discounted price is available to version 2.0 users. Click the
'Check for updates' link in the software. There is a 30-day free trial if
you do not yet have a licence.
I should say that it works great on my macbook pro (running LiveCode 4.6.1),
and I also tried it as a revlet in Safari, and works great there too.
How easy is it to modify these?

Hi Hugh,
Thanks for this announcement. Is it or will it be soon, ways to use your
library on the server-side (irev based, fore coming announced protected stacks

Hi Hugh,
Is is possible to have an x-axis of dates using chartmaker?
I use chartsengine at the moment, but it would be good to have a choice for
each app. At the moment I can just send a series of data with the x axis data
in 'seconds' and chartsengine converts these to dates, and spaces the
Love em! Thanks, Rene.

Hi René,
thank you for the circular sliders.
Work very well for me on the Mac.
Maybe the fact it does not work as expected on Windows has to do with a high

What kinds of modification would you do?

Hi, List! It's me again with my Unicode problems in bilingual fields. I just
spent four hours on this problem and gave up.
I'm trying to retrieve the text of the word the user clicked on in a locked
field. As far as I can tell, the MouseChunk and the mouseText are useless

Does the "word" delimiter work? If so, you could try this in the field:

Aha! The idea of using "the number of words" is brilliant.
Unfortunately, the word boundaries don't "quite" work, and I think it's for
the same reason: I think the mouseCharChunk reports bytes, not characters.
It is Unicode-smart in some ways: when you click a non-Roman letter, it
returns "char N
