think it has something to do with Word using high-ascii or unicode
characters. You might try saving the Word fil
I brought this up in December and got a suggestion I thought would work. Alas,
it didn't. I have a parsing tool running on OSX in which I paste text from Word
(Mac Office, was using 2004 in December, using 2011 now) into a field.
When I paste en and em dashes (charToNums 208 and 209) disappear.
