It also does NOT work for me. Never has. But I do have a Japanese
keyboard where the punctuation marks are on different keys, and
use the Japanese input methods (as well as English).
Lots of software shortcut keys get messed up for me, not just LC.

command-underscore as the method to uncomment a script from the keyboard. But,
command-shift-dash doesn't do anything. How do you uncomment a commented
script in the script editor from your keyboard?

It has always worked on all of my Macs; Apple keyboards and a pair of Unicomp
Model "M"s.
This is probably too obvious but: the lines to be uncommented need to be
selected.
