It can be downloaded from "Sample Stacks" in the IDE toolbar (it's
called "Sample Stacks" and is tagged as IDE and Plugin). Install as a
plugin in the usual way.
UI is very similar to the existing IDE version - simplified a bit.

upgrade and re-upload it. Now I am prevented in uploading the upgraded version.
I’ve tried renaming the stack to no avail. Any ideas?

I don't see any "SFTP" upload example, only "FTPS" upload. The later, I

The Sample Stacks link was inadvertently changed during the refactoring of
the Menu Bar code for DP 3, but no-one noticed it until now, thanks for
reporting this.
I have added an issue to the Quality Center and we will be reinstating the
Sample Stack browser, ensuring it opens from

In LiveCode 8 I can no longer download Stacks (click Sample Stacks) from the
online sample stack portal, the download/upload stack called „Sample Stacks“ is
replaced with a link to http://livecodeshare.runrev.com.
Will that stay, or is a better or different download Stack, for the final
version

So the argument against a Zip based format is mainly the fact that zip support
is via an external? The compressed arrayEncode format would still need
somewhere to save it as a file. The biggest issue I can see with it is
non-LiveCode engine based build tools will be more complicated to implement
