SOLVED Though I can't reproduce the error anymore, I am almost sure it was an incompatible version of the revxml.dll or revzip.dll. I copied the latest version of these dlls from the LC 8 program dir into my test environment and now my LC 8.0 runtime starts without error. Thanks
