On the third day, God put the animals on hold for a few hours,

Hi LiveCoders
Today I am releasing two new android externals as public beta. Until there is
an official SDK for Android external development they will remain in beta and
only be available as a bonus to mergExt Complete users.
The externals are:
- mergZXing - This external allows you to

Hmm... I'm hoping for all the stretch goals not just scrapin
It's definitely behind schedule statistically. But I've been involved with
a couple of Kickstarter projects and the way it seems to go is:
- an initial burst of investors that put it ahead statistically
- a mid period where everything just bumbles along quite slowly
- a final push in the last few

I expect it will take a lot lo
I'm not sure what you mean, monte? If the kickstarter doesn't succeed
(people from my company have already backed it), will livecode continue as

That's correct. Don't know about the technical reasons why. Perhaps
years back, when LC first went mobile, iOS dominance made focusingon
it rather than Android better sense financially, given LC's limited
resources?
Given the OSS initiative now, hearing something definite fro
uage. I
assume this will be a virtual replacement for externals (or basically be
externals with syntax stuff) and need to be cross platform. Perhaps that's why
android externals never happened because the concept was superseded by these
extensions...
Cheers

Just to make sure I am correct, there is currently no way to make externals
for android? And if that's still the case, why?
It's honestly the only thing keeping me from considering livecode as a
realistic choice for mobile developement.
