Sorry, end-of-the-day post. That's a SD card reader. The usbus0 is what the
ethernet card is attached to:
ugen0.1: at usbus0, cfg=0 md=HOST spd=SUPER (5.0Gbps)

After leaving it powered-off for the night and booting up the latest kernel
build (yesterday), it works just fine. Maybe it only happens if you leave the
machine booted and the card running for a few days

I'm not sure and I somehow still feel this is hardware issue. In the mean time,
if possible, please help me to test that patch so we can use more proper driver
for
