a unified HIG?
If it seems likely it may well be worth pursuing, but when I think of
all the dialog box confirmation buttons that'll need to be changed on
one or the other I have to wonder whether they'd be up for it.

ep. I like it because it's useful no matter
what happens: if it leads to a universal HIG that would be ideal, but
at a minimum it would provide a list of "gotchas" for UI designers to
consider.
If someone wants to set up a wiki for this I'll happily contribute.

editing the netbook section of the new HIG as it comes together.
