Actually... does the TV1 output cause any significant problems for you?
It is not a-typical for the driver to support outputs that the video
chip supports but that the chassis is not wired up for. So long as the
phantom output doesn't cause bugs, it is probably not something we need

This only appears to be a problem on my desktop. On my laptop, K3b and
Brasero both find the drive just fine. The laptop is Ubuntu with
kubuntu-desktop installed, and the desktop is pure Kubuntu. I think the

The last kernel update re-created this bug, until I manually removed the
--no-floppy part again. And running dpkg-reconfigure grub-pc and
choosing the correct device(s) won't work for me as I don't want grub
installed to any MBRs

I've just been looking around to see what's going on with this confusing
naming scheme, and I've found this:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/karmic/ddrescue. Here it says the package is
called ddrescue, but then the description starts off with dd_rescue.
Also, I've tried to find a package in ubuntu call
