Shuttleworth mentioned fitts' law. Firefox tried to use one close button
for all tabs first, one close button per tab later. If people found easy to
click lots of close buttons scattered in the screen, people will find easy

Nicely done, I agree with less jargon. Let me take that further: we could
dispense with the big on/off switch altogether and use checkboxes
throughout to enable/disable since the plus-minus will effectively remove
them.
