Exactly. It has global menu bar support built in to fit in with unity
and the colour scheme to fit in with ambience so why not just set the
window theme to fit in also? Especially when the option is already
there.

But I am using Chromium with gtk and Ambience and I don't get the

I'm using gtk.
My sincere interest is to make Unity perfect for people. I use firefox
