I agree with you completely Arthur. Thou I must add that for specifying
searches with text you can also look for the second word like "sources" or
"update" which pulls the appropriate app up first in line. Or if you know
the technical name like "gedit".

really annoyed by the current arrangement I gave it some thought , and I
came to the conclusion that - yes , it's not that easily fixable because
of the need to navigate the entry as well as the icons in the dash .
