Tried qt4-x11 - 4.5.1-0ubuntu1~ppa1 from the Ghersi's ppa and nope,
still getting artifacts all over the place.

As a workaround for this bug, I managed to get stable UXA under kernel
2.6.30 from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.30/
combined with the latest intel driver from:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates/ubuntu jaunty main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-x-
