I've tried to install the kernel packages several times, but with no luck.
Althoug they seem to be just fine, they do not appear in grub when I reboot. I
just have the option to launch the 3.4 kernel.
Here you have the log:

I've tested the latest precise kernel and everything is working just fine. I
consider this bug closed.
Thank you very much for your time and effort it is a privilege to enjoy the

Strange, as multi-touch works well under wxp. I didn't know that XP had
multi touch emulation. I'll try to do a few more tests.

On my 1101HA, finger sensing correctly shows 1, 2 or 3 fingers in
windows, using the method outlined by Neatchee. It also detects a finger
side as 1 finger only. Still, in karmic "synclient -m 100" only detects
one finger.

I'm having the same problem. Most of the time I boot my systems, it
hangs right after showing the "kubuntu" splash screen and just where it
should show the "Nvidia" one.
If I turn off and on again the computer a few times (2 to 10 times),
eventually it will boot.
I have seen in the Nvidia forum
(
For comparison, the log of a successful boot.

By the way, I added the "nopat" option to /etc/default/grub, and after
some days I have not seen the error again. Before, it was happening
around 85% of the boots.
