hm.. i think the bug is Qt? gtk mir apps seems to work fine.
the problem is with Qt/KDE apps and ubuntu apps. ubuntu terminal is
black, the dash is black, in music app i can see the background but it
doesn't have any content, same with the settings

probably, btw.. did something change in the way the apps are launched?
so after a reboot i've launched gnome chess from launcher, the app
started (without Xmir) and worked great. but then i closed the app and
the second time it tried to launch with Xmir but failed to load. (not
sure why it tried to
gnome-chess log. (if i manually launch gnome-chess with Xmir it works
fine, same native, it only doesn't work if i launch from the
launcher/app drawer)

mostly i see when i run apps with Xmir, maybe stuff that uses SDL, mpv,
neverball
and it's only the arrow
side effects, some strings corruption is some apps (note: i can't
reliably reproduce this bug, but i see it happen occasionally when
running apps with Xmir, video players, games)
