The pen input in Xournal is very erratic with my Lenovo multitouch screens.
When I start it's okay but then suddenly the pen puts in lines when it's not
even near the screen. Then it "freezes" in pen mode and I can't do any mouse
functions.

I just re-installed and updated. The update causing the screen failure
is the new linux kernel, which was added to the repository on
2-Aug-2012. Before I rebooted into the new kernel, everything worked.

Yes, setting the stylus and eraser to setting "1" made the touchscreen
work correctly when the tablet view was set to "left rotation."

When you fix it, there's another problem I'd like to point out now.
The left edge of the screen is not "active" so that for instance if you set the

Re-booting seems to have solved the problem.
(I have two oneiric partitions on the same Lenovo machine and the same thing

Since upgrading to the newest nvidia driver, my battery does not charge at all.

I should have mentioned that plover supports several connection options. The
one most in use is Gemini PR.
It has an option to use the laptop keyboard, but this is useless because in
steno, you have to depress several keys at once to form a word.

a dedicated keyboard. The program works in ubuntu-org but not with
wayland.
