Just a note that this affects gnome-shell, too. Given that this is very, very alpha, I suspect that noone cares at this point, but I thought I'd record it. Starting display-manager with desktop effects off, and then starting gnome-shell works fine. -- [i945gme] attaching external monitor: lapto
