Hello,
I cannot switch user graphical session anymore. Ubuntu 13.10 here, lightdm
1.8.5-0ubuntu1.
The screen goes black with text cursor blinking in the top left corner and a
mouse arrow. After some time I get back to my session.
Tried removing ~/.Xauthority with no luck.
Additionally, right after graphical login I get 3 dialog windows with "System
program problem detected".
If I do "Report problem..." nothing happens.

I'm trying to launch Qt5 project with QML UI with .mesh 3D objects.
This project works normally on old, grand-daddy's laptop Asus X555D,

I just installed Ubuntu 15.04 RTM, and faced out with multiple problems
with the copying files from HDD to USB flash-drive.
1. Not all files copied! You can't be sure that all what you selected is really
copied.
2. You can delete folders in USB drive (Directory is not empty).
3. The copied files
After a couple of days trying to deal with this bug, I concluded that
this issue is a stop-bug for me. I can't continue using the OS, which is
unreliable with the executing such essential task as file management
especially when this bug is not being treated for the year. Hope to see
this bug fixed
I have the same problem on Asus X73B with Linux Mint 17.1, Did another
fresh install and the problem is still there. When having lock screen
with screen saver, cursor is visible, but when I resume without it - no
cursor. Also it happens only when closing lid, not when suspending
manually.

surprised to find it in 17.2 as well, because I encountered many
resilient bugs that are still there since 2011... and they all are

This affects me on an HP Envy 14 (intel + AMD 5650).
After installing fglrx I wasn't able to access my desktop. I purged

Xinerama and switched to twinview and the problem was solved for one
machine. I have another machine where the monitors are rotated 90 deg.
Twin view doesn't handle rotated screens well enough. Gnome panel is in
the wrong place and

I am puzzled why there are only ten people affected by this bug. It
drives me absolutely crazy and I am forced to disable touchpad clicks.
How can so few people be complaining? Is it hardware-specific? Do other
laptop touchpads disable themselves in the hardware rather than relying
on the synaptics
that's a very good point bitinerant. I think I'll check to see if a
feature-request exists in Launchpad to add those totals together :)

It's specific to intel video.
Installed a radeon graphics card as a test, problem dissappears.
Remove the card, switch back to integrated graphics, problem comes back.
Also tested HW decoding and forcing software, makes no difference, both
stutter with intel.
