The same for me in E5470:
xinput list
⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2[master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointerid=4[slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ ImPS/2 Generic Wheel Mouseid=12 [slave pointer (2)]
⎣ Virtual core keyboard
I have just verified that the bug is still there. What should I do to
make some people actually look at the bug?

mouse cursor flashi
Public bug reported:
Mouse cursor flashes when moved on the laptop screen after connecting a
second monitor via displaylink USB3.0 interface. The cursor flashes both
when connecting the screen via VGA and HDMI. When the screen is
connected directly to the VGA or HDMI ports on laptop, the flashing
assigned to this report...).

Title:
Touchpad not recognized on Dell Latitude E7470 Ultrabook
To manage notifications
My kernel got upgraded from standard repositories. I use Dell Latitude
E5470. Now the touchpad and trackpoint are recognised:
mskrzypczak@dell-latitude:~$ xinput -list
⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2[master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointerid=4
Thank you, it seems that your configuration helped with the trackpoint.
Do you have any suggestions regarding 1, 2 and 4?
Is it possible to add those settings to the GUI setting tab?

Any other workarounds?
For me adding video=VGA-1:e helped only for limited time: after the
computer got into sleep mode and woke up again, the flickering problem
was back.
